We are Drive, a Southern California based tribute band that plays the music of The Cars. When you come see us live, you're transported back to the late 70's and 80's to experience the fantastic music of this trendsetting band.

The Cars' music was groundbreaking, with the influence of Greg Hawkes' synthesizer, the vocal talents of Benjamin Orr, the songwriting and unique voice of Ric Ocasek, and the mastery of Elliot Easton's guitar work.

They were and still are considered pioneers of "New wave" popular music. Many of their tunes were chart toppers, with 18 of them charting in the Billboard top 40. The song Drive, after which we named this band, was one of their biggest hits. 

Our band consists of very seasoned professional musicians that grew up listening to, and playing the Cars music. We are united in one mission: To reproduce the music as close to its original sound as possible, thereby providing YOU, the listener, with excellent dance songs, and a nostalgic feeling.
